Thanks to the Ontario Arts Council!

Just finished up a new creation project thanks to the support of the Ontario Arts Council! This project was a series of compositions inspired by the beautiful poems of Francophone poet Émile Nelligan. After hearing vocalist Sienna Dahlen sing a bunch of them on our Ontario tour, I am excited to keep working on this project and studying French and perhaps...... bring this project to Québec!

So excited and honoured chosen for the Toronto Arts Foundation's Emerging Jazz Artist Award. It was even just an honour to be nominated alongside two fantastic Toronto-based musicians Dan Fortin and Ian Wright. We are so lucky here in Canada to have the support of local, provincial and national arts funding – so big thanks to the the generous donors Cheryl and Manuel Buchwald, and the Toronto Arts Foundation for creating this award and helping Canadian musicians make music!
