I’ve really been enjoying curating a weekly rotating playlist on Spotify: Monday Musings Jazz Playlist. I’ve put together a series of themed playlists that change every week – often moving them over into permanent playlists on my profile. Some of the themes I’ve been exploring include:

• Jazz Covers of Joni Mitchel Tunes
• 2.5 hours of Blues
• My Favourite Canadians (jazz artists from the West Coast, East-Coast, Manitoba and more!)
• …and one playlist that caused quite a stir on reddit, but mostly in a positive way: “Who Said There Aren’t Many Women in Jazz?”

Because there sure are! I made a 2.5 hour playlist showcasing this just a few of many women in jazz today.
